AILEEN CARMENATY SÁNCHEZ – Born in 1993, Aileen is the Press and Cultural Attaché of the Cuban Embassy in Canada, in charge of academic, sports and solidarity exchanges. Previously Aileen worked at the United States division of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as the Cuban Embassy in Washington DC.
IRAM POYEAUX VAZQUEZ – North America Division of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the People’s (ICAP)
PAMBANA BASSETT – Cuba Programme Director of the Solidarity Collective and organizer with the Chiapas Support Committee. Pambana is from Harare and New York City/Lenape ancestral lands. She will be speaking direct from Cuba.
MEDEA BENJAMIN – Cofounder of peace group CODEPINK (U.S.), Medea was in Cuba on November 15 and participated in the “Pañuelos Rojos” (Red Bandanas) gathering of Cuban youth in support of the Cuban revolution.
This action will also include an excerpt of Season 2 of the Award-winning Cuba documentary series “The War on Cuba” by BELLY OF THE BEAST

November 15, 2021 was a day of huge victory for Cuba and a big defeat for counter-revolutionary Cubans and the Yankee United States! The U.S. was devastated and humiliated one more time. Cuba Vive! So-called anti-government demonstrations – called for by those politically and financially backed by the United States – never materialized. Instead, Cubans are dancing and celebrating their revolution and sovereignty in the streets. November 15 also marked the first day back to in-person school for Cuban children and the opening of the Cuban economy to tourism, for the first time since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.
This week, Cuba’s fight against the Covid-19 pandemic has also achieved another great milestone. 100% of the eligible Cuban population has now been vaccinated with at least one-dose of Cuban-developed and produced Covid-19 vaccines. More than 87% of the eligible population of Cuba is now fully vaccinated.
The U.S. blockade against Cuba, including the 243 measures against Cuba imposed under the Trump administration, remains fully in force under President Biden. From Canada, the U.S., and worldwide, the Cuba solidarity movement must re-double our efforts to defeat the criminal U.S. blockade on Cuba and end all meddling by the U.S. government and their allies in Cuba’s internal affairs!

El 15 de noviembre de 2021 fue un día de gran victoria para Cuba y una gran derrota para los cubanos contrarrevolucionarios y los Estados Unidos yanquis! Estados Unidos quedó devastado y humillado una vez más. Cuba Vive! Las manifestaciones “antigubernamentales” respaldadas política y financieramente por Estados Unidos nunca se materializaron. Por otro lado, los cubanos están bailando y celebrando su revolución y soberanía en las calles. El 15 de noviembre también marcó el primer día de regreso a la escuela presencial para niños cubanos y la apertura de la economía cubana al turismo, por primera vez desde el inicio de la pandemia Covid-19.
Esta semana, la lucha de Cuba contra la pandemia Covid-19 también ha logrado otro gran hito. El 100% de la población cubana elegible ha sido vacunada con al menos una dosis de la vacuna Covid-19 desarrollada y producida en Cuba. Más del 87% de la población elegible de Cuba está ahora completamente vacunada.
El bloqueo de Estados Unidos contra Cuba, incluidas las 243 medidas contra Cuba impuestas bajo el gobierno de Trump, sigue estando plenamente en vigor durante el mandato del presidente Biden. Desde Canadá y los EE.
